Learn How To Clean Your Bathroom Floor

How often do you clean your bathroom? What exactly do you clean whenever you do this chore?

Well, it may come as a surprise to you but many people don’t clean their bathroom floors, however, it’s a crucial step that needs to be taken in order for the whole room to be spotless. You wouldn’t miss cleaning your bedroom floors, right? Then why would you skip on your bathroom floors?

How To Clean Your Bathroom Floors?

Before you start with the cleaning you need to make sure that the floor is dry. If it isn’t fully dried yet then wait for it. Why is this important? Because the first step in the cleaning includes using your vacuum cleaner – and you can’t use it on wet surfaces!

Once the floor is completely dry then you need to vacuum clean it. If there are any hard-to-reach spaces such as behind the toilet – use a broom, for example. Make sure all dirt and dust are removed!

Then you need to mop the floors. Either use your favourite floor cleaner or make your own by mixing vinegar, water, and essential oils in a bucket.

Why use vinegar? Well, it’s one of the best natural cleaning ingredients out there. Not only will it clean the floor but it will also disinfect it.

Why use essential oils? Vinegar has a strong smell which not many can handle. If you don’t want your bathroom to smell like vinegar then add a few drops of your favourite essential oil. You can also use the ones that have antibacterial properties – tea tree oil, lavender oil, etc.

Now that you have your cleaner, dip a mop in the mixture and cover all areas of the bathroom floor.

Once you are done cleaning I recommend you to dry the floor with a towel or a cloth. That way you will prevent mildew. Just don’t forget to wash the towel/ cloth you used!
