How to remove sushi stains from clothes?
Of course, the first thing you should do is remove the residue of the sushi roll. Then you want to flush the stained area with cold water – do it with the wrong side directly under the running water. And please, do not use warm or hot water since the warmth can “cook” the stain making it very difficult to remove. Then you can wash the clothing piece.
If you dropped wasabi on your clothes the first thing you need to do is remove the excess just like with the sushi roll. Take a spoon and scoop it out. Then treat the stain using liquid laundry detergent. Let that sit for a couple of minutes before you throw the clothing piece into the washing machine.
If the stains are still remaining after taking them out of the washing machine then you can fill a bucket with cold water and add oxygen bleach in there. Soak the stained area in the mixture for around 30 minutes. If the stain is stubborn then let it soak for two more hours.
How to remove sushi stains from my sofa/ carpet?
When it comes to cleaning your sofa or carpet you need to be extremely fast yet gentle with the cleaning process. Both carpets and upholstery are made out of very delicate fabrics and can easily be damaged. After you remove the excess sushi roll or wasabi immediately blot the stained area with a paper towel in order to absorb the liquid.
Then you need to make a mixture of a teaspoon dishwashing liquid and two cups warm water. Grab a sponge, damp it in the solution, and start treating the stain. But remember – be gentle. Don’t rub aggressively because it will drip the stain even deeper.
In case the stain still remains to make another mixture – oxygen bleach and water. Apply it on the area and let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Once the time is up damp a sponge with water and remove the residue. Let it air dry.
