The most effective way to clean a glass stovetop

Oven stovetops – regardless if they are regular or glass ones need to be cleaned from time to time. They are hot and prone to spills that will easily dry and leave stains. Build-up is hard to clean on such hard surfaces but it’s necessary since germs love such surfaces.

Glass stovetops are actually a lot easier to clean so don’t stress too much.

Prepare everything that you are going to need before you start cleaning

  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Liquid dish soap
  • A towel
  • A brush that you are going to scrub with
  • A spray bottle
  • A clean cloth

Let’s start cleaning

Now that you have prepared everything that you are going to need start with pouring vinegar in a spray bottle then spray that all over the stovetop.

Grab the baking soda and sprinkle some all over the surface as well. The soda will react and will start fizzing so don’t worry – that’s normal and it’s exactly what we want to happen. This reaction will clean, disinfect, and loosen up all of that build-up we want to remove.

Next, make a mixture of hot water and liquid soap, soak a towel in the water and put it over the stovetop by spreading it. You want to cover the baking soda and vinegar you previously put there. Leave that there for 20 minutes. The hot towel and the steam coming from it will further help will removing the build-up.

Then remove the towel, grab a brush and start gently scrubbing the surface.

After that, you are almost finished. Simply remove all of the baking soda, vinegar, and grime by wiping with a wet cloth and you are done.

Did you see that cleaning stovetops don’t necessarily mean that it’s going to be hard and will be time-consuming? It’s quite easy so don’t neglect the dirt on it any longer.
